COLD AND FLU SEASON IS BACK!!

Here we are again..this lovely time of year where the flu bugs and viruses are taking advantage of our exhaustion due to weather changes and xmas shopping!!
We are being attacked by germs, flu bugs, whiny kids and overloaded work schedules!

Before I begin..I just wanted to respond to those of you who read the blog and email in.. (I am so sorry for the delay in blogging..my time has been monopolized by..well..you guys calling in and wanting cleans!! No I am not whining..i am truly appreciative..so thank you all very much!!)

So, last year, I gave some tips for the cold and flu season on how to keep your home sanitized.
This year, in today's blog, I want to throw out a few suggestions and recommendations on how to keep your home sanitized for the season but also how to create a naturally healthy space, so when you get home after work or shopping or whatever..you can feel relaxed and at ease.

As part of Enviropure's regular home cleaning structure, we have added a few things into the mix for this season.

1) During your regular cleaning session with us, we have added extra spot cleaning to your structure. Which means using purified water and 99.9 % alcohol with a few drops of tea tree oil to disinfect door knobs, light swtiches appliance handles etc..

2) Adding some Organic peppermint to the microfilter (not the hepa filter) in the vaccuum. the Microfiltration is replaced more frequently than the hepa filter, so it's best to use the essential oil where you can dispose of it afterwards as needed. PEPPERMINT, as I have discussed before has so many health benefits. It is an anti-nausea, helps with respiratory problems, chest congestion and headaches. Enviropure uses a lot of organic peppermint while vaccuming to freshen up the air and rejuvenate the senses. This is soooooooooo good for you especially because we are all feeling a little gloomy and sick with the weather, so why not take a deep breath when you get home, enjoy the sanitation of your space..kick off your heels. RELAX!

3) So..I need to discuss this one..because I see this everyday, and it's a huge problem, even in my house with my kids. lol. TOOTHBRUSHES!!! If your kids toothbrushes are going to be in the same cup holder, then, disinfect them regularly!! Enviropure offers the suggestion to clients upon coming in and doing the clean..however, you can do this yourself between cleans. My suggestion would be to take your toothbrush cup, fill it with hot bathroom tap water, steaming hot water, put 2 drops of tea tree oil in it, place your toothbrushes in it, let them soak for a few minutes, then rinse them well..with cool water. BAM! there you go..in a few minutes, disinfected naturally! Heck..you can do that while you are cleaning the bathroom. This is super important folks because kids share and spread germs and i see this all the time in YOUR very own bathroom. It's a good tip!!

I just wanted to blog again on the topic of essential oils, because I want to emphasize how important these oils are in our cleaning process.

It has been a while since my last blog so I thought it would be good to freshen things up and talk about something cool!
As you all know..Enviropure is the leading Green Cleaning Company in Ottawa and we are always trying to incorporate new healthy ideas into the cleaning style.

What does success mean to you?
For me it means accomplishing your goals and feeling proud that you did.

Yesterday afternoon I had the honour of being a guest speaker for the graduating class in enterprise management at Algonquin College.
First and foremost, I want to express my gratitude to the students and to the professor for asking me to speak and share my knowledge with them.
I never thought in a million years that I would be 1) a business owner and 2) be blessed with the opportunities that have come my way.
Over the course of the last 5 years, I have grown as a person through the experiences that I have had by starting and growing a successful business and coming into contact with such amazing and influential people.
I have to say that out of all that I have accomplished as a business owner thus far...being asked to share my knowledge to a graduating class has been by far the most rewarding experience.

Before I became a business owner, I was working in the field of criminology and nursing and realized that I wanted to do something more. I wanted to be part of something greater. I have always been an independent person and someone who perpetually wanted to have control over my own future. So upon reflection, I started Enviropure home cleaning by combining my two passions for health and wellness and cleaning. I wanted to create a change for myself and for families in my community and provide people with healthier environments to live in.
I also wanted to become a leader and I am a firm believer that all entrepreurs and business owners are leaders in their community. Throughout the course of the last few years I have cultivated who I am as a leader...as a boss..as a mother and as a friend. I have accomplished the goals that I have set for myself up to date and I have far more that I want to attain in the near future.
I have had the priveledge to network and develop relationships with other business owners this past year which has played a major role in evolving who I am as an Entrepreneur. I want to thank those people for having faith in me and in Enviropure. In aknowledgement to all the clients who have used the Enviropure services, thank you. You are deserving of only the best!

For about 3 months...you guys have been wondering/asking about where the lime has gone. Where has that fresh lime smell gone?
We had run out of it and the supplier was out of stock and the entire company had been back ordering for months...
So...I went on the hunt for a new supplier for the same product...
It took me over 3 months to find and secure the stock.

13 Magical uses for CUCUMBERS!

K..so..what is a cucumber? Is it a fruit or a vegetable..a plant...?
Well...a cucumber is a fruit and it is 90% water, it contains enough sugar and vitamins to repair the human body from dehydration and starvation.
